Maritime Archaeology and History of the Hawaiian Islands Foundation (MAHHI) | ||
| The Maritime Archaeology and History of the Hawaiian Islands Foundation (MAHHI) is chiefly concerned with research, training, and education in maritime elements of submerged cultural resources in Hawai`i and the Pacific. Submerged cultural resources, primarily shipwrecks and underwater aircraft crash sites, represent a largely untouched resource in the Pacific Basin. Our goal is to contribute to our common cultural heritage in the Pacific through on-site research, hands-on training and raising awareness through community education. |
